Rodrigo BarbosaSoftware Developer.

I build software with the same care most people only spend on the parts you can see.

Right now that shows up as fast, considered websites - but the same standard carries into everything else I build, developer tools included.

Manifesto

I don't chase trends.

I chase clarity.

Every project starts by removing what doesn't need to be there - then rebuilding what's left until it feels inevitable.

Featured Work

Every project. Zero shortcuts.

Every project here was designed and built end-to-end - from first concept to the version that's live today.

01 - Local Service Business

Bela Flor Cleaning

Elegance in every detail.

A boutique home cleaning brand serving Cape Cod, reimagined as a warm, editorial website that feels as considered as the homes it cares for.

02 - Real Estate & Investment

R&B Investimentos

Assets that appreciate with vision and rigor.

A real estate investment and renovation company that acquires, restores, and builds homes - presented through a bold, dark, confidence-driven interface built to earn trust from investors and buyers alike.

Xubz Dark

A VS Code theme where every color has a job.

A premium dark theme for Visual Studio Code built for long coding sessions - a full design system across the editor, sidebar, terminal, debugger, and Git, where color is used as a semantic signal instead of decoration.

Xubz UI

A 49-component design system built to feel handcrafted, not generated.

A framework-agnostic UI kit shipped as native Web Components - one precision-instrument-inspired design language, a live tweakcn-style theme editor, and full documentation, usable from React, Vue, Svelte, PHP, Java, and Rust without a rewrite.

xiux

Neovim, reimagined as a native IDE.

A from-scratch native IDE built on the idea of what Neovim would look like designed today: a real modal Vim engine, GPU-rendered text, and a first-class customization system, with no Electron and no browser engine anywhere in the stack.

CIPHERAIMG

Encryption that leaves nothing behind.

A local-only desktop app that turns images into containers indistinguishable from random noise without the right key - styled like a vintage green-phosphor terminal, built on real, peer-reviewed cryptography instead of anything custom.

Philosophy

What I believe, in practice.

01

Craft over shortcuts

Clean, readable code and obsessive attention to the details most people skip - because those are exactly the details visitors notice, even if they can't say why.

02

Performance is a feature

A beautiful site that loads slowly isn't beautiful - it's abandoned. Speed and technical SEO aren't afterthoughts; they're part of the design.

03

Respect the smallest screen

Most visitors will meet a site on a phone, one-handed, mid-scroll. If it doesn't work brilliantly there, it doesn't really work.

04

Say less, build more

No jargon, no fifteen-slide decks - just direct communication and a stack chosen because it fits the job, not because it's trending.

Process

How I approach building software.

The same discipline, every time - from first idea to shipped, working product.

01

Discovery

Understand the problem, the users, and what success actually looks like before touching any code.

02

Planning

Map out architecture, structure, and scope so the build has a clear foundation.

03

Design

Shape a visual and interaction direction that fits the problem, not just what's trending.

04

Development

Build it in code - fast, tested, and structured to scale.

05

Refinement

Iterate on the details until the experience feels exactly right.

06

Ship & Iterate

Launch it, watch how it performs, and keep improving from there.
